Sierra General Engineering & Hardscape completed vegetation removal and cleanup work at a stormwater basin for the City of Exeter, California. The basin had become heavily overgrown with dense cattails, weeds, and other unwanted vegetation that restricted access and reduced the basin’s usable capacity.
Using an excavator, our crew removed the overgrown vegetation and accumulated organic debris from the bottom and side slopes of the basin. The removed material was loaded directly into dump trucks and hauled away from the site. Care was taken while working around the existing drainage infrastructure, fencing, landscaping, and nearby public facilities.
Once the vegetation was removed, the basin was left open, accessible, and better prepared to receive and manage stormwater runoff.
